A short note (this may be in bullet points) outlining:
- Why you are interested in working at Swords Studio
- Which aspects of our work most appeal to you
- Your availability to start
- Your current notice period

A concise, carefully crafted sample portfolio (10–12 pages) including:
- One or more conservation projects
- An ecclesiastical project: either conservation, design, or a QI report sample

- Selected pages of technical details
- Extracts from writing samples

We see the portfolio as an opportunity to demonstrate both your interest in and understanding of our work, as well as your own sense of craft. We do not accept generic or unstructured submissions.

We value thoughtful introductions and keep speculative applications on file for future opportunities. At times, we may also be in touch where there is potential for collaboration with other designers whose ethos aligns with our own.
