Our Work in the lakes

The Lake District: The most beautiful place on earth. We think so, and we’re proud to have recently been appointed by the Lake District National Park Authority (LDNPA) on a project for the Condition Survey of more than 2,000 listed buildings across the National Park.

From slate-roofed farmhouses and barns to chapels and lakeside villas, every building tells a story of craft, climate, and endurance. This project will create a consistent, GIS-ready record of each listed structure, supporting the long-term care and management of the Lake District’s extraordinary built heritage.

Read our blog about the project as we work in the Lake District during the next year. In addition, we are preparing a book, called "A year in the Lakes", which will document our project.

A Year in the Lakes

Read about our forthcoming book, exploring the historic built landscape of the Lake District through the assessment of approximately 2,000 listed buildings, structures and monuments.
